CPD Subsidies for Professional Development

Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) is keen to support education and training for rural GPs, rural GP registrars and medical students by rural GPs delivered locally with flexibility where possible, to meet the needs of busy practitioners in general, and in particular the needs of female GPs.

Rural GPs require education and training to learn professional skills to:

• Meet the needs of their communities
• Maintain their professional, personal and practice management skills

RWAV provides a range of professional development programs.
These include:

• Training grants for individual GPs
• Support for IMGs through the IMG program
• RWAV online events and resources
• Specific training courses in orientation, emergency medicine, women's health, Koori cross cultural training and preparation for the RACGP Fellowship examination.
• RWAV GP teacher training program.
